Easy DIY Chalkboard

I really wanted a chalkboard wall in my kitchen area, but since we live in a rental house, I cannot do that.  So, I began thinking and thinking of what I could use that would be a temporary solution.  Then, I realized that I had this really cute cross that my awesome father-in-law cut out for me a while back.  I was going to paint it to hang on my front door, but for now it is my new chalkboard in my kitchen!  It's not a great picture because I took it with my phone, but I really like it in my kitchen :)

All I did was have my daughter paint it with chalkboard paint from Wal Mart... easy enough!!
